By the time they reduce the price, they\u2019ve already lost momentum, time, and often, motivation.<\/p>\n<p>A slower market, rising costs, and buyer caution are combining to create a situation where price reductions are becoming the norm rather than the exception.<\/p>\n<p><a href=\"https:\/\/springbokproperties.co.uk\/\">Springbok Properties<\/a> CEO, Shepherd Ncube, commented:<br \/>\n\u201cHome sellers across the nation are finding it increasingly difficult to secure a sale, as the market grinds to a halt ahead of the autumn Budget and buyers adopt a wait and see mentality.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cSo it\u2019s no surprise to see such a significant number of properties subject to an asking price reduction within the first 30 days of being listed for sale, as this is a tactic often deployed to entice hesitant buyers when there is little to no interest in a house.\u201d<\/p>\n<p>A price drop isn\u2019t just a number on a listing though. For many homeowners, it signals a loss of control, or worse \u2013 desperation.<\/p>\n<p>It can also delay timelines, complicate onward moves, and increase stress \u2013 especially if the seller is already in a situation where time matters (relocation, separation, inheritance, etc.).<\/p>\n<p>Nobody wants to be forced into cutting their asking price. But right now, it\u2019s happening more than most realise.
