The Bank of England has voted to hold its base rate at 4.0%, even as inflation lingers at 3.8%. The decision was split; 7 members voted to hold and 2 voted for a cut.<\/p>\n

\u201cToday\u2019s decision to hold the base rate will do little to boost a housing market that has been stagnating\u2026 many sellers are having to slash asking prices.\u201d<\/p>\n
